| The problems I see with voting |
This government is set up on the basis that people will go out and vote for who they want to represent them in certain offices. Well, there are a few problems with the way it is set up. First off, I can't go out and register. I am of legal age and could really go out and vote, but I don't want to. I can't honestly see myself being involved in any political parties. The people in parties that are in office, as I see it for the most part, are people that will simply follow what their party says they should believe in. They do this so that they can get into a higher office and make more money then they already do. Therefore, they are not doing what they think they should for America, but for themselves and their own party. Another problem with the way voting is set up is the fact that votes do not matter. Let's say I went to vote for a man named Smith who is running for president. I am not really voting for him. I am voting for a person to attend a confrence and say that their state or region votes for Smith; however, if at the last minuete this person doesn't want to vote for Smith but Jones instead, they can do so. | ||||||||||||||||||

You, just like everyone else was taught that the government is made up of 3 parts. One makes laws, on enforces laws, and one intreprets laws. However, I believe that these 3 parts really have the same purpose. Unless I am wrong, most of the people who have been in congress were lawyers to begin with. Likewise most of the former Presidents have also been lawyers. The government is set up so that people will be either too distracted or confused to care about what is going on. People in America are usually looking for the quick way to make money. One way to do this is to sue someone. When a child is killed by trying to hug the TV during a show, the parents should not sue the makers of the show and win. That is the fault of the parents and not anyone elses. However, the system is set up so that people can sue over stupid stuff like that and win. People then begin to take less and less responcibility for their actions and need the government to think more and more for them. When this happens, people don't really care and just figure that the government is just doing it's job. No one pays attenchion to what is going on. Another reason the government is set up the way this way is because no one really understands a court room. I'm not saying that I do, but the only people that really do are people who goto law school. The rest of the country does not understand much of the jargon that goes on in the court room. | You have been taught a lie | ||||||||||||||||||

| Closing | I'm not saying that the govenment needs to be taken apart or that everyone should stop voting. What I am saying is that the government needs to go back to the line of thinking that the creators of this nation had. They tried to make a nation which would serve as a "melting pot." Somewhere along the line people got too involved in money and now that is all that America is about. Unless I'm mistaken, America is in debt. This is a huge debt. I had a teacher tell my class once that America has neveer been in debt. He told us that other countries are eager to lend money to America because we always pay people back quickly. Unless something is done, this is what our children will learn. Stop the further brainwashing of America. | ||||||||||||||||||
